Mimi He is a Toronto-based ceramic artist and a graduate of the Bachelor of Craft and Design program at Sheridan College. Her practice focuses on hand-built functional design objects that balance aesthetic beauty with an everyday philosophy of living. Utilizing slow, rhythmic coiling and pinching techniques, she creates sculptural, decorative pieces—or "lived companions"—designed to elevate modern domestic spaces.
In addition to her studio practice, Mimi is a dedicated educator and advocate for craft, teaching pottery through private workshops and serving as a studio technician for a local community studio. In these roles, she fosters creative learning and technical knowledge-sharing within Toronto’s ceramic arts landscape.
