This collection is inspired by The Brickroom, which is a speciality cafe that offers the experience of a ‘red retreat’. The cafe is located at 181 Bay st, Toronto, ON.
Mimi appreciates the warm, inviting red tones of the café, highlighted by its brick and tile elements. The subtle greenery from the plants and the painting creates a refreshing contrast against the dominant red hues. Inspired by this ambiance, she chose brown stoneware as the medium for her project, incorporating a delicate green leaf motif on the pot to echo the natural elements of the space.
