Mimi’s functional sculpture, embodies the restless nature of life and the search for stability, drawing from her childhood experiences of moving between countries and cities. This constant relocation meant she never had the chance to settle down or keep furniture long-term. Mimi explores the materiality of clay by crafting organic, tall forms with delicate walls. Using only hand-coiling techniques and no tools or machinery, she creates a deeply personal connection with each piece, merging functionality with artistic expression.
